So I've taken 70mg Vyvanse in the morning and 5mg DextroStat TID p.r.n. (usually one before every class)
And now i've switched to 100mg Vyvanse and DextroStat as needed,
what's everyone's exerience with the duration and onset time for Vyvanse?

I had it last a bit (two hours) longer than an adderall xr dose, it was more dextrostat-ish in it's effect, better than the Dexedrine Spansules too. I metabolize meds fast and require a whopper of a dose and my experience with the coupon and my high dosage was that it was good as a med I got 8 hours out of a 120 mg dose and I didn't stick with it because Dextrostat tabs seem to be my preference.

It took about 3 or 4 hours for me to feel it and it lasted about 5 hours.
100 mg in the morning.

In my 3 months of taking Vyvanse I've found it begins to improve my focus slightly within an hour, a slight improvement in mood, with talkativeness and real focus settling in within 3-4 hours. I do find some days I am kind of sleepy as before it kicks in, and then again later in the day long before it is supposed to have left my system.
But I also have an addiction to caffeine and have recently upped Celexa for depression.
I have found that 80-100 mg seems to work best for me, accomplished unscientifically by sprinkling out some of another 70 or 50 mg. I have also started to take another dose, whether 50 or 70 after 8 or 10 hours as I have very long days. Don't know if I'm building a tolerance or if exposing my self to higher doses is burning out receptors but I've definitely been getting less of a dramatic effect over the last couple weeks, perhaps in coordination with the increase of anti-depressant.
Very interested to hear about someone else's experience with Vyvanse.
What is DextroStat like? How does it compare to or complement Vyanse?

I am a 58-year old man who was diagnosed with adult ADD late in life (at age 42). Over all these years, I have been medicated with Ritalin, Concerta, Adderall, and now Vyvanse. After 16 years on stimulant medication, I have reached a point of tolerarance with Adderall that my doctor felt it best to switch to Vyvanse. He started me at 70mg 1X per day. I started one week ago, and I am very happy with it. Now that is after having taken (4) 30mg tabs of Adderall a day for the last 3 years. So, I am probably still in some stage of withdrawal from the abrupt sessation of Addreall. But, so far, I am very pleased with Vyvanse. It helps me focus, and stay on task most of my work day. And it lets me sleep like a baby at night. I kinda miss the "kick" from Adderall in the mornings, but there is always Starbucks! I am looking forward to getting the Adderall monkey completely off my back, so to speak, so I can more accurately assess this newest miracle drug. Will keep you posted after another couple weeks...:)
