My Pdoc wants me to go get a complete physical and have an ekg and blood pressure monitored. I am just speculating here, do you think if I have high blood pressure they (the doctors) can give me something to lower it so I can continue on with Adderall? It's really been a life saver.

i am in a similar situation. neither my pdoc or reg doc have said anything about discontinuting the adderall. they want me to take Norvasc. mine is usually 145/97 or some where is that ball park.

My bp has been high since I was a teenager and I've got migraine so I'm on a calcium channel blocker anyway - there is no change for me between being on adderall and not with the CCB.

I just got a home BP monitor and it's like 120 over 85, so I think it's OK.

I take Benicar HCT with Adderall. My pdoc warns me sternly every time I see him that I'm risking blowing an artery. I know he's just looking out for my best health and I understand that. I am trying all that I can to lower my bp normally. It is just a matter of losing weight. I have gone through the entire physical, EKG, nothing is wrong except my weight. If I can get it down, I should be fine. For now, I'm continuing on Benicar.

yes the same thing happened to me last year i was on 40mlg xr i do not rember the number off the top of my head but i did have a ekg done and stuff and had to go to the nurse once a day for it to be cheecked for a week they did not take me off just went down to 30mlg and i think i might go to 35 mlg if they will let me

You could also try what I have done.

Watch your diet, (For me it's an alkaline diet, very low fat and sodium while limiting animal products)

I also quit caffeine and get more exercise.

All the numbers are good for me now...

I take atacand hct with my adderall and my primary doctor ( at that time) told me that she had no trouble adjusting my blood pressure medicine to counter the adderall was raising my blood pressure....she did caution me however that she would only play with the dosing up to a point....it seems to help....
