I have a history of self-harm and Borderline disorder. After having a hard time in my first few weeks of college, I was prescribed Staterra (sp?) and 25mg of Adderall XR a week ago. I have taken them daily, along with my hypothyroid medication, and birth control.

I have felt very much not like myself, but not in the zombie state that I felt when on Zoloft. I don't quite know how to even describe it. I wrote down a list of my "side effects" and checked them on the website, only to find that all of them (symptoms of depression/self-harm, high blood pressure, swelling of feet, dehydration, abnormal thoughts) were on the "overdose" list. I also have no appetite whatsoever, feel like I got punched in the throat, and my pulse has raised about 10 bpm. I feel like I am losing my mind. It has taken me almost thirty minutes just to write this thread.

Is it possible that my doctor prescribed too much too soon? Are the side effects more severe in the beginning stages? Has anybody else had this happen to them?

You should defiantly call your doctor right away. I've never had any of those side effects, and they sound really severe, your probably right about your dose being too high.
