I'm currently prescribed 60 mg or Cymbalta along with 60 mg of generic Adderall IR (30 mg x 2), and have been taking the same dose for 4 months. I've recently noticed that when I forget to take my Cymbalta in the mornings the Adderall seems to work much, much better. This doesn't make sense to me. Cymbalta is a potent nor-epinephrine re-uptake inhibitor, so shouldn't the combination of the two work better than the Adderall alone? Could it be the boost in Seretonin from the Cymbalta? I think its obvious to anyone reading this that my knowledge of brain chemistry is minimal. Any ideas? Thanks.
