Did anyone see this? What did you all think about it?

No, I didn't see this show, but I bet it was fascinating. I have worked with many autistic adolescents/kids. I am interested in hearing about the show.

yes. he is. I, unfortunately didn't get to see it either. I work with kids with autism.

I heard Holly Robinson Peete (sp?) was also on. She also has a child with autism.

thanks, KellyD!!

I just read through everything. I'm glad they came out to talk about it. it's very important.

I am disappointed, however. The diet they talk about, gluten casin free, isn't necessarily related to autism, and the article makes it seem like it is.
So many kids with autism aren't allergic to gluten and casin. That's the key - the diet will help if the child is allergic to gluten and/or casin.
I'm glad they don't hyperfocus on it and tell people that it's magic.

With that, I'm still pleased they both came out to talk about their sons.

I watched it. It was interesting. I think it's helpful anytime a celebrity opens up like that. Helps the rest of us average Joe's know that we are not the only one's. I know it sounds silly because they are just like us, human beings but it helps to shed more light on the subject. Autism is often misunderstood. I think she did a good job.

As a psychology student, I would have loved to see it, plus I have an autistic disorder (Asperger's).
