I saw a new Psyc doc here in CT who put me on 80MG of Prozac and a low dose of Ritalin -- 10MG two times a day.

The thing is that the Ritalin wears off after 4-5 hours. It seems to give me a nice buzz for the first few hours but then I feel tired, dull, dizzy.

But it seems to control this nagging anxiety, racing thoughts, inability to focus or concentrate.

I was on Prozac from December to the end of August. The anxiety & stress over the last few weeks has been intolerable. I made several errors at work (careless errors of omission) and basically have dreaded going in to work everyday. You know the constant feeling of Hysteria, Anxiety, Depression & Panic all mixed together.

I can answer Yes to every question about ADHD. The problem is that I lost 10 years of my life since graduating college in & out of jobs.

Do you find that Stimulant + SSRI (prozac) makes you get headaches or sore shoulders/muscles?

I found that.

It also made me more emotional and tearful.

I ask b/c they can make each other build up, drug wise, to cause side effect problems.

Today I felt a nice relaxed calming effect from both.

I enjoy being on a low dose of Ritalin IR; since May. Prozac was a wonderful medication for my anxiety.....however with the sexual side effects I decided to stop taking it.

Since being on Ritalin I have tried 3 different attempts with Wellbutrin (only to increase my anxiety). I am now contemplating Prozac again. It really works!!!

My son is on Adderall and Prozac; it has worked wonders for his overall wellbeing. It really takes the edge off as the stimulant hopefully with help with focus/calming.

I also believe in regular exercise and eating healthy.

Good Luck!! I think it is a nice combination and should work for you.:)
