There are plenty of stores that have salespeople who do just that. Sure, you've got people who try to sell you something because they get paid extra if they move a certain item however, by and large, most salespeople will work with you to help you craft the look you are trying for. In addition, many salespeople will be honest enough to tell you if a certain style will/won't work for you.

Some links about becoming a Personal Shopper (which is what I think you're aiming for):
Starting a Business as a Personal Shopper (http://www.entrepreneur.com/startingabusiness/businessideas/article75238.html)
Personal shopper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Online_Personal_Shopper%20)
How to Become a Personal Shopper- eHow (http://www.ehow.com/how_15306_become-personal-shopper.html)
Those are just 3 things I found with a quick search. If you type "Personal Shopper" in google, you'll find some more. Just beware of sites that want to charge you for info.

i'm not saying you don't have a chance. But, and this is just my own opinion so please don't get upset with me, why would I want to hire someone to help me shop? Also, if I needed a personal shopper, why would I pick YOU? What sets YOU apart from other personal shoppers? How good of a personal shopper are YOU? I'm not trying to be a mean person, I'm just playing devil's advocate. PatrickH posted some good book titles earlier and I feel you should read through some of them and get a feel for what you can expect in that field. Remember, you aren't doing it just because it's your passion, you're doing it to make money - it's a business, too! Remember forewarned is forearmed-the more you know about this going into it, the more prepared you'll be when you actually start DOING it. Good luck Marytza, and I hope it becomes the success you want it to be:)
