Mine alternate, I often write rather excessive detailed posts, yet I have had one word replies as well...

well - the short answer'd be

-> ~ADD~

:-)

(or rather the associative structure which underlies the associative thought processes which we exhibit)

~to demonstrate~

Take #1 of this thread by LostWitness
Take #2 of this thread with avatar 'air quotes are so in'

And combine

from 'Hurley' -
'Lost' Air's magnificent single 'All I need'
~ps~ (http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/felicity/allineed.htm)
which relates to

associative thought processes (from earlier in this post) -

because
All we appear to need -
for our own evolutionary advancement away from the state of having 'lost' our way - is evolution through
generation of complex neural structures
and increased aerobic (air) efficiency

-> towards a more efficiently operational mind which results in 'happiness' for reasons described elsewhere on
ADDF

~aka~

from previously on 'Lost'

(no more)

:-)

-*-

my pont being - that the ADD mind may weave together distal points through seemingly sensible progression to emerge out at some other predefined point -

- kinda' like the show 'quantum leap' - however - where Sam has the power to influence his next port of call.

I can only write long posts if I break them into short, 4-5 sentance paragraphs.

As for READING them, if there are absolutely no paragraphs, I won't even bother to read the post.

I can talk the paint off a wall...therefore I can type the pixels off the screen. It becomes a stream of conscieneness (yeah, I know that spelling's wrong!).

Apparently my ADD doesn't interfere with my reading or writing -- always had my nose in a book, and write for a living.

I can write REALLY long posts with the aid of a program Dragon Naturally Speaking, which listens to me talk and then transcribes the text into the computer. Improves my typing speed from the usual 15-25 WPM to a possible 100 wpm. Wahoo!

But I need to proofread carefully because sometimes it misunderstands me and writes some pretty weird sentences!

I usally dont really write long posts either, but it really depends on where I am in my cycle, if i am really manic then I will have longer posts than when i am not.

'secret of life'

click and be merry.

from ~here~ (http://www.lyricsfreak.com/j/james+taylor/secret+o+life_20069179.html)

Nobody knows how we got to
The top of the hill
But since were on our way down
artistic expression of human experiential perspective from layer m,sublayer n=8->9 to layer m+1 sublayer n=1
or otherwise described - as the evolutionary speciation event from
modern man -> postmodern man (ADDer)

Isnt it a lovely ride
Sliding down
Gliding down
artistic expression of the statement directly below (planets ...) and human experiential perspective of the same basic process which governs everything -

notion of linear motion <->
and
spin motion <o>

(see signature) ->-
back <()> 'round
<-> convergence

Planets spinning through space

Now the thing about time is that time
Isnt really real
Its just your point of view

artistic expression of the artificial nature of human time - there's just continuous sequence based around action reaction - imagine a duvet on a clothes line - on the wind.

Point of view references the idea that there are two perspectives -
of
---1---
Homo sapiens subsp. sapiens (nonADDer) (modern man) (layer m sublayer 8->9)
---2---
Homo neosapiens subsp. sapienses (ADDer) (postmodern man) (layer m+1 sublayer 1)

whereby layers relate to evolutionarily imposed 'layers'

Welcome to the human race
artistic expression of the different and better (better with tight definition) of the perspective offered from mind of ... ...

... Homo neosapiens sapienses relative to the poorer encapsulation of RRReality within rrreality of Homo sapiens sapiens -
- whereby -
without knowledge of the currently ongoing speciation event - the ADDer with better insight - would feel that the individual who behaves 'better' is entering the 'human race'
~however~

in truth :-)

the human race has moved on - and has taken to shooting the breeze on ADDF
- for the former competitiors in the human race - who're ~all~ now collaboratively sharing their reward.

Im not quite sure...

I think when you're unmedicated, u tend to speed read, and wright short and fast.

But when on medication, you have the ablity to go into much greater details about things which allows you too type such huge posts.

Ah, it only took me 300mg's of caffeine to have enough mental energy to type this. :D

==

Planets spinning through space

same sentiment
~however~
a significantly different musical style.

Ozric Tentacles - [1988]
- Sliding Gliding Worlds

ahhh!
the memories ... ... ...

so why the commonality?

- and why that observation (of the recurrence of that message) on this thread?

... imagine how much we'd be capable of writing - were we redefining our collective reality ...

... which
~by the way~
*we* are ...

... ... ... interpreting the hitherto coded message of our oracles (- the artist) who heeded his or her own whispers.

:-)

There are many corrections which need to be made - to make this blue and green place as good as it should (and soon will)

be.

I can only write long posts if I break them into short, 4-5 sentance paragraphs.

As for READING them, if there are absolutely no paragraphs, I won't even bother to read the post.I write long posts...one thought leads to another and they all feel like they're important to say! And that's with rereading and trimming, LOL. I follow you style, Paws, and try to keep to short paragraphs. And I hate being faced with a 15-line paragraph. I've even copied and pasted some long paragraphs, then just stuck random blank lines in so I can read it. Now that's compulsive...

I can write long post because this medium is async - meaning we do not all have to be on at the same time like ya do in chat. I can write a paragraph or two take a wiggle break and come back and write more.

I read long post because A) it is async B) it is a requirement of moderating.

I also take medication which helps me to remain seated long enough to read more than a sentence or two at a time AND remember what I read long enough to respond with some thing resembling the topic.

I write longer posts when I'm on my medication, since it keeps my train of thought uninterrupted. When I'm off my meds, I usually keep it short and sweet.

This has actually flowed into my IM sessions. I'm sending out paragraph long chat responses to my friends.
