I would like to change my email, so the notices go to my regular email account. I found out how to do it easily enough, but it said I have already got an account with that emai! Now, that doesn't surprise me, because I had to register a few times before I figured out how to activate it!
so, can I please have someone help me :-) so I get emails ..please.. :D

Did you go into user CP on the top bar of the page? There it has something you can click on that says "change email". Is this what you did and did not work?

I thought the original 2 accounts got deleted, but the system still thinks my regular email is still active.. IYKWIM :-)

What you need to do then is contact somebody in administration and just asked them to check to see if those other accounts got deleted. That could be one of the problems.
