WHAT is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?

great question! :-)

WHAT are we supposed to do - to be happy?(is better ... though)
Simply - why would one care about meaning - when meaning makes no sense outside of mind of man?
It isn't some absolute goal - since the Universe itself is a 'relative structure' - the illusion of absolute - arises by the nature of hierarchy of structure.

Imagine that one is on rung 1 of 10 rungs - that each rung represents knowledge about the 'way the world works' - and that each rung makes a whole loada' sense - and renders the previous rung's knowledge as
~yes~ correct in context of the knowledge of that time -
- though *lacking*
with increasing information availability.

The classical (feels silly to use the word classical with respect to physics) -
example would be the
Newton -> Einstein -> quantum
rungs (lowest -> -> highest).

Man thereby - seeks - as her goal
(misguidedly)
- to continue the ascent until she reach the toppermost uppermost rung
- at which point it is assumed (by the reality hunters)

increased information (energy) is uploaded into mind as the mind increases in size.
