View Full Version : do people like being sick? Guest1 10-13-07, 02:41 PM i do cause i get tons attention when im sick at home so i like being sick:confused: ClearConfusion 10-13-07, 03:08 PM Sometimes I like to be a little bit sick e.g. having a cold cause then it feels like it's ok to have no energy and just slack. Back when I was in school I often used to keep swallowing and swallowing in the morning to see if maybe I had a sore throat and might get to stay home from school. maori_boy 10-13-07, 03:10 PM yeah i like being sick, dont get much atention but had a reason to have a day off schol. i went to a boarding school, it was like tortur. hated it. it was a cheap as school with lots of maori boys tryn to beat each up. Dory 10-13-07, 03:33 PM I dont like being sick. I'm whiney although it does get me extra sympathy but being sick SUCKS! KittenPoker 10-13-07, 03:35 PM Nope, don't like being sick. However, not being sick won't stop me from calling in once in a while... supersomeone 10-13-07, 06:40 PM i do cause i get tons attention when im sick at home so i like being sick:confused: sorta yeah i guess so i mean not like sick sick but kinda sick but now that i actually like say it out loud that is kinda well bad haha http://addforums.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif pedalpounder 10-13-07, 07:51 PM Being kinda sick and getting attention? yes. Guys especially are the biggest wusses when it comes to being attention suckers when sick. I think it's because a lot of guys are steadfast in portraying themself as tough regardless of their emotions... being sick gives them a free pass to turn to mush. But being sick sick though, nooo I doubt ADHD has anything to do with it though. umami 10-13-07, 09:08 PM I hate being sick. I live on my own and earlier in the summer, I fell while training for a marathon. Sustained a wrist fracture and ruptured a few tendons... it was the hardest few weeks of my life. Friends occasionally came by and helped out, which was great of them, but for most of the recovery, I was on my own. Not fun... Foxie 10-14-07, 01:09 AM I don't like being sick because it makes me feel even less unaccomplished and not to mention SICK and who really wants to feel like crap. QueensU_girl 10-14-07, 01:38 AM Are you a symptom bearer? :) cloud1 10-14-07, 01:54 AM I like attention sometimes but I feel like when I stay home from work when I really am sick that people think I am faking or I am not as sick as I say I am and I hate that feeling. It is nice thought to get some much needed rest.;) Dory 10-14-07, 09:51 AM I like attention sometimes but I feel like when I stay home from work when I really am sick that people think I am faking or I am not as sick as I say I am and I hate that feeling. It is nice thought to get some much needed rest.;) I ALWAYS feel that way, which is why I will drag myself to work half dead, at least then they can SEE that i'm sick and send me home. That way I dont beat myself up over thinking ... "I know that they think I'm not really sick". I think I just need to get a backbone and quit worrying so much about what everyone will think and just worry about dealing with it when they actually say it to me. msam76 10-14-07, 10:21 AM I LOVE the attention, but HATE having the illness. Whether it be a cold or following surgery, it stinks. But having everyone wait on you hand and foot is great! |
