Hello everyone. I'm new here and am currently in the middle of the diagnosis process.

A few weeks ago I scheduled an appointment with my family doctor regarding the possibility I had ADHD. She referred me to a psychologist. I saw the psychologist last week and had a three and a half hour appointment consisting of an interview and a ton of tests. She said she would have to formally compile the tests, but that her initial diagnosis would be ADHD and that she thinks some stimulants would help me do better at work. However she wants me to work with my family doctor on any treatments.

I have an appointment scheduled for next week with my family doctor to review the test results. I'm guessing she's going to give me a perscription for a stimulant.

Are there any questions I should ask her?

Does anyone have advice for me on which types of stimulants to request? I have a feeling she will be open to my preference, especially if I make it clear that I've done research and asked questions prior to the appointment.

Any and all advice, tips, suggestions are welcome.

Thanks everyone!
