PS..what's the best time of year to visit weather wise? I don't mind the cold, but not windy and rainy so you can't see much??

summers good but can get hot. april may is a good time. anytimes a good time just not really right in july august its cold and wet then.

i live at the top of the north island but apparantly the south island is really beautiful. i havent been there before but have seen pictures.

if u do make it to NZ, make sure you also go up to Northland - Bay of Islands etc, its often missed, people tend to land in auckland and head straight down. Theres good stuff up here 2 ay.

No it doesn't make you a fraud....but if you have a camera....do take some........and the hongi kiss looks very similiar to the eskimo kisses my mom used to give us....

she would do a series of them....butterfly kisses with her eyelashes...then Eskimo kisses running your noses ...then the mom kiss which was usually "rasberries" or zerberts some call it, on our tummies or necks...giggling and squirming until we almost tinkled ourselves...I do it with my kids now....great memories....thanks for sharing the pics Hemi....
