Well i just found this forum and have read a few articles.
I was diagnosed ADHD when i was a child and took ritalin for a couple years around say 10-13yrs old.

now that i'm older, infact since around say 15-16 i feel more like a sloth than the typical spaz that i was and that is associated with ADHD. Is this common?
Testosterone has come up a couple times in different topics on here, it definitely seem to be an issue. I can say that after sex not immediately but throughout the rest of the day my brain is very cloudy, unfocused, very easily irritated and often I usually get fairly quite depressed.

there are a billion other things i can write about but i think i'll stop here as a first date to the forum..

Often times in adults, the "hyperactivity" can present as irritability and moodiness. According to the DSM IV, there is only ADHD with or without hyperactivity. Every year it changes so don't count that as set in stone.

Or more specifically... 3 subtypes (inattentive, combined, and hyperactive), relating to the symptoms present. In the older books, it used to be split into two groups (ADD with hyperactivity, and without). But yes, it is all in the category of ADHD (or for those on the bleeding edge, AD/HD).

According to my doctor it is common for hyperactivity to begin decreasing around puberty. While I reached puberty some long time ago apparently my ADD is just now catching up - at 40 some thing(it's only 30 years late}. I am just now beginning to loose some of my hyperactivity but it is being replaced by more inattentive ADD traits - which are equally as annoying { not much of an exchange in my opinion} .
