Does anyone have a high school curriculum they like? apcpapergirl 02-08-04, 11:30 AM I homeschool my son, he is 16 years old. We use "Heritage Homeschool Academy". It works great. http://www.heritagehomeschool.com plevans 02-08-04, 04:47 PM Do you mind telling me what you like/dislike about this curriculum? I have tried many approaches with my son and spent alot of $$, all with little progress. I'm naturally cautious about where I go from here, but I know we have to go *somewhere*! He is 17, should be in the 11th grade, and probably won't test above a 9th grade level, if that, and doesn't really care. Thanks for your input. :) Lafnalot 02-08-04, 09:57 PM Have you thought about a different approach. I homeschooled for three years and found my kids did best without a formal curriculum so to speak. In some areas we used curriculum as a guide, but the minute it became like traditonal school, sit down be quiet read etc it was too much for them. There are so many way to ap[proach homeschooling, perhaps a slightly different approach along with the new curriculum? They are both back in public school for numerous reasons but they were either right at level or ahead fo the game academically.Maybe unschooling, or using his interets or unit studies, I know it can be frustrating |
