Just got my free trial scrip filled...

Currently on Adderall XR. Was at 20mg XR then 40mg XR + 10mg IR booster if needed.

XR seems to take at least 30 mins to kick in. For those of you Vyvanse, how long does it take to kick in?

30-60 minutes, but 30mg never kicked in. I could "feel" 60mg kicking in at first, but after a few days it never seemed to. Still experimenting with 90mg.

Was drinking juice and soda until I read not to - that may have interfered.

my first day I definately remember when it kicked in...but I don't get that nice effect anymore...for me it's around 45 minutes without food or caffine products...

Juice and soda aren't supposed to affect Vyvanse, it's 'supposedly' the only amphetamine-like ADHD med on the market that's only affected by Urinary Acidifying agents (usually in medicines)... Stomach Acidifying/Basic agents aren't supposed to affect it because it's digested in the small intestines (but I'm not 100% sure that's true but it's what shire says). I started to notice the effects about 60-90 min after taking it, 100mg of Vyvanse.

Well, apparently it kicks in a lot faster than I thought! Thinking it would take about 1.5 hours to kick in, I set two alarms 1.5 hours apart - one for "Vyvanse" time and the other for the usual time. Took 70mg at the first alarm. Half an hour later, I'm tossing and turning, and was out of bed before my usual time. Definitely smoother, as I'm eating a full breakfast as I type. Hopefully I'll still have the same focus and concentration the rest of the day.

Curious, does anyone supplement their Vyvanse with Adderall or Dex?

supplement? You mean take Vyvanse then Adderall or dexedrine? Nahhhh not me lol. Vyvanse last 12-13 hours on me so.

what dosage of adderall were you before switching to vyvanse? since 70 vy is 30 ad, I probably need 105 mg vy...equivalent to 45mg ad.

I was on 30mg XR daily but I was trying to convience my doctor I was on too low of a dose and he insisted I try vyvanse first so he stuck me on 100mg.

so youre on the equivalent of 40mg adderall. how long have you been on vyvanse and how does it compare to adderall?

I took 210 mg of Vyvanse per day in a dexedrine crossover and it did nothing at all, sugar pill.

mspen - By "dexedrine crossover" do you mean switching to Vyvanse from dexedrine? 210 mg did nothing?! How much dexedrine were you taking if you don't mind me asking?
