And I think I had just about every psych test they could throw at me too. I did it thru my college counseling center, and the state regents board wants a ton of data. The doctor said that it would be about Thanksgiving before I got the results, so it should be interesting to see what she comes up with. But man I hate waiting.

Waiting is not an ADD strong suite - but at least they took your concerns seriously enough to warrant further investigation.

They did a freebie intial consultation to see what i was complaining about. I guess if the symptoms sounded like test anxiety I would have tested for that since that one is less tests and less costly for the student. Once I told them that I sometimes couldn't remember if I stopped for red lights and wasn't even sure what the light color was then the doctor said, yeah let's test you.
I don't know what all the tests were, but I had to take an IQ test, self assesment, observer assesment, that omg 567 question personality test, and a memory tests. There was a list of words the dr. called out and the words had another word associated with it like ladder- star, rose-bug. I couldn't remember the word pair until about the 3rd time thru. One test was on the computer and there were no instructions, and the computer told you if you were right or wrong. After the 2nd question I was ready to turn around and say what's wrong with this thing I'm right but it's tell me i'm wrong:eyebrow: . Then I realized oh yeah no instructions.
I'm glad I saw this post again, I was going to call to see if she was finished yet, but it's only been a week

By the time I was given the offical green light by my Dr. I wasn't surpurised. Honestly, if most of the stories on here are practically mirror reflections of yoruself, chances are you won't be surpurised at the answer.
I hope all the test paid off and you can finally figure out what is going on with you! Thanksgiving is only a week away!

Any headphones tests, or "connect the dots" drawing tests?

I forgot about the connect the dot test, I had one that you had to do a pattern like 1 A 2 B 3 C.... no head phone test that I remember, then of course there was the flashing X test. I have no clue what that test was about. Letters flashed up and you have to click the mouse or space bar except for when X flashed. I think I only succeeded in not clicking 3 times.
They also had the face recogniztion. I thought the faces were kinda easy though, like ok there's no unibrows so that guy wasn't in the orginal group, I remember her... she had those 3 pimples, and yeah there's the 8 year old with make up on.
My biggest fear with the testing is not being told that I'm ADD. Instead it would be no your not ADD your just a person that daydreams too much and is lazy get over it.
The cool thing is that this is the kind of testing that will really tell you about your strengths and weaknesses.
In any case when it is all done you will know if you have ADHD or not. They will use the test data along with an interview and family history to create an overall picture of you. then they will decide if it is ADHD or not.

I had to do the TOVA test, it was lots of fun. Click when the box was on the top and don't click when it is at the bottem, or something like that. I did kinda crappy on it cause I clicked to much when I shouldnt...made me look impulsive...
