LOL

Alright so im always paranoid about things and lately ive been paranoid about my health. Last month i had lung pains from not smoking weed in a month and i thought i had lung cancer  .

Last week this guy cracked a joke at me saying i might have worms cause i eat like a horse. So i thought i had worms:eek:

and ive noticed my eyesight is getting a little worse every 3 years and now im paranoid i might go blind by the time im 30:eek:

And last week i thought i wasnt doing a good enough job at work and i thought i was going to get fired:eek:

Anyways these are a few recent scenarios where ive been paranoid like crazy. thinking i might die or loose my job and whatever.

But heres the good part in all those scenarios i ended up reading and acting.
Heres what i mean. When i thought i had lung cancer i read up a **** load of informtion about lung cancer and the lungs and i pretty much learned the anatomy of my lungs and heart. When i thought i had worms i read up about everything possible about those dirty little suckers, like how people get them and other things like that. When i thought i was going blind i read up on the different things that could help my eyes and about the different eye diseases. When i thought i was going to loose my job i read a **** load of company information about the property i work at.

I dont have any of those problems apparently (the eye thing is from getting older and genetics) and the good thing is a learned alot more about things and myself.

I realized that ill get paranoid about something i dont know much about and ill read up on whatever it is im paranoid about. I mentioned this to someone i worked with and they said that yea you are learning but try not be as paranoid.

So it seems that whenever i get paranoid ill read up on something and try and see it from all angles and try and asses the situation. And apparently i dont realize it but i end up learning something new. lol (Not self diagnose myself)

I guess in a way it pays to be paranoid lol

Hypochondriasis is possible, but the cough from not smoking is worse for awhile.

Yeah, I'm like that to but I don't usually learn much because I'm too busy panicking. I've learned a lot about the mental disorders that way though.

I'd say it sounds very UNEMPOWERING to be "paranoid".

Yeesh, no thanks!

Being paranoid sucks man, it makes a social life not so easy. Ever been to a party but you're paranoid about how people will react to you? Happens for me all the time :P

meh i dont even give a rats butts about my paranoia, everytime i get paranoid i think of that song "The frayed ends of sanity" by metallica and paranoia isnt an issue anymore. Everyone gets it. Sure i will think everyones cloak and dagger around me, sure i think everyone will all of a sudden change there opinions of me.

Whenever i think these thoughts when people start acting differently i just stop and think hey mabye there having a bad day or they are stressed out. And 75% of the time thats the case i just gotta keep that reinforced in my head
