So, I haven't seen anything else quite like this on here-
When I meet people and do more talking then just saying hello, it's almost like an "ADD sensor". Probably from growing up in a completely ADD household.
Everyone I have been strongly attracted to/drawn to friendship with, has been ADD, and I knew that I really liked them within 5-10 min. I never KNOW that they have ADD to start. I just find out later.
Every good girlfriend, has had it, and the guys I was always attracted to had it (but the ADD guys never liked ME for some reason, they always liked the unattainable girl not the one that talks your ear off, lol)
Is this odd? It seems most people are saying that other ADDers annoy them...

Where do you meet ADDers? I have been to 2 support group meetings but they dont show up. I want to meet others who understand my way of life. My way of life is normal for me but not normal for others around me. It would be nice for others to say yes you live a normal life.

I am that way with the hyperactive types more often than the inattentives because inattentives have a harder time listening, and with hyperactives they at least listen to 30 seconds.
YES!! OH MY GOD YES! All my major friends have ADD and most of my important girlfriends have ADD they are amazing.. i love having ADD friends.. you can just tell if someone is ADD like I'm almost 100% certain my government teacher is ADD.. i know just it.

The strongest connections I have is to other ADDers - I can get along with NTers but it is not the same for me.
I have found the same thing. Looking back I can see that this has been the case with most of my close friends. I believe my Mom was and my Dad is. I think, as a result I have also chosen at least two partners who are also ADD. It is part of what I am attracted to and part what I know.

Yeah, kinda feels like I'm an alien in a human world and come across someone else with tenticles. :D
In retrospect from my experience it does appear to be true! But any suggestions on how to bring up the subject, especially if they're not yet diagnosed?

Actually, they either seem to feel the need to tell me at some point (as an explanation as to why they did something usually) or I bring it up after knowing them for quite a while. It has never offended anyone, although I wouldn't bring it up if you sense that it might. Timing is everything.
I have two friends who are ADDers. One isn't so close but I like her a lot, and the other one has the hyperactivity dominant type and we have a lot of fun together XD...I guess maybe that's why :P
