I hear lots of great things about lamictal but can lamictal be taken as mono-therapy?

I was thinking of asking the pdoc tomorrow about the possiblity that Lamictal might help the abilify's twitches maybe?

There has been some recent use of Lamictal for treatment-resistant depression. I don't think it'd be appropriate to use to counter tics, though, Andy, it's original use was to stop seizures, which is a bit different.

yea. I understand that. Do you think there even is a slight chance though?

None of us are qualified to even suggest meds for off-label use. This is really a topic to be discussed with your Doctor, Andy.

Ok. I understand that but I was wondering if there were personal expereince with this and how it affected them.

lamictal has never showed up in any of my jounal article hyperfocuses regarding tics, I doubt anyone else will have anything to add, Andy, sorry.

Well I didn't mean just for tics but the combo in general.

Andy, It sounds like you're looking for members' personal experiences as a way to finding a med that will address symptoms you're experiencing. Since everyone experiences benefits and side effects of meds differently, different symptoms can mean different things, depending on the dx and person (and you're looking for off-label experiences), I am respectfully requesting that you pursue this line of questioning with your medical provider.
