I got my flu shot yesterday and today my arm hurts so bad I can barely move it. Anyone else have this reaction? Happens every year. Anyone ever get sick after having the shot?

I haven't gotten one in the past few years, because I'm of an age group that's last to get it. (I'm only 20).

I am 31 and usually I am the last to get it. But because of my job I was able to get it soon this time around. I come into contact with a lot of people and the doctor felt it best that I get a shot early each year.

I don't do the flu shot anymore. As kids, we always got pumped full of antibiotics (even for viruses) and all the shots, and I was such a sickly kid. When I went on my own, no more flu shots, no more antibiotics, and I have been the healthiest in my adult years. Nothing has really hit me that hard. Took some time for my bod to adjust to taking care of itself on it's own.

Hope all stay healthy this season!

Getting sick from a flu shot is a myth - the flu shot is composed of an inactivated virus - that simply stimulates your imune system to produce antibodies against it - does not make you sick (sorry the nurse in me jumped at the question).
