I work mids and, of course, am having a hard time adjusting to staying up all night.

I see a lot of 'energy' drinks, over-the-counter pills, etc., but the few I've tried didn't do anything. A couple actually made me drowsier!

So....have you, or do you know someone, who has ADD/ADHD and tried any of these ENERGY pills/drinks that work??

As the god of insomnia w/ ADHD I've tried TONS of energy drinks. I try to steer clear of them because of the whole insomnia cycle (sometimes the drinks work too well and reinforce the insomnia) however the most effective for me and a lot of my friends would be the 5 hour energy drink sold at gas stations. Also Bawls (yes, it's actually called that) has helped some of my ADHD buddies with papers and such when feeling tierd but it's a bit more expensive, and nothing can replace good old cofee.

Try good old fashion exercise before you go to work. When I workout in the morning I am energized for the entire day. I used to work a thrid shift and would go to the gym before work. Keep me up all night. All the energy drinks are is caffeine. So, if coffee didn't work for you neither will they.

Lucozade Energy drinks wake me up for 2hrs+ but can make me hyperactive and act immature.

Coffee slows my head down, I find it easier to sleep at night and concentrate during the day. It doesn't really wake me up.

Lucozade Energy is higher in glucose and lower in caffeine. Its a UK drink so you may not know it.

I DO exercise before work when I can.
Sometimes I'm just trying to get as much sleep as possible - getting up just in time to get ready & get to work.
