When registering for an account at the ADD Forums, you MUST follow the instructions in the confirmation e-mail that's sent to you...or your account registration will not be approved (this is an automated process).

If you are an AOL member (or you use strong SPAM filters in e-mail), there's a good chance you will never receive the confirmation e-mail, and thus...will not be able to use the forums as a member.

I strongly advise our AOL visitors to either register with a different e-mail address (you can open an account at Google's free email service - GMAIL (http://mail.google.com/mail/signup)), or contact administration via e-mail to ask for help. ADD Forums Administration can be reached via e-mail by clicking on the Contact Us (http://addforums.com/forums/sendmessage.php) link at the bottom of the page.

Our apologies for this inconvenience, but if you're really steamed about it, please either check your SPAM settings, or contact your ISP, asking them to take us off the SPAM list.

Thanks.

Advice from AOL:

E-mail That Is Incorrectly Identified as Spam

If you look in your Spam folder and see mail that you did not identify as spam, simply click that piece of e-mail to highlight it, then click the This Is Not Spam button. Your Spam Filter will be updated immediately. The mail that was wrongly marked as spam will move to your New mailbox. For more information on spam and junk mail, go to AOL Keyword: Junk Mail
