Here's my Becalmed Speel that I posted previously on a couple of other sites.

I'm sure some of you have probably heard of "beCALM'd". It's a
nutritional/herbal supplement. They make claims that helps with AD/HD andother conditions. It very well might help for all I know.

As somebody is active in the online AD/HD community I have seen beCALM'd being pushed at people in chatrooms and message boards, etc. I have had quite few people trying to sell it at the forum that I am administrator for. We've removed posts and banned users from the forum who were spamming.

As somebody who runs a website I often look for ways help with the cost ofmaintaining the site. I noticed google ads on the google site itself and other related AD/HD sites. So I decided to look into the ads for my ownsite. It's really easy to put on the site and automatically brings up ads that are related to the site's content. It's really not bad way to earn some money.

I didn't put it up on my site right away because it didn't give the
option of having a new window open up when somebody clicks on an ad. I feltI would lose a lot of site traffic that way. Even though it might be nice to earn money through my site that's not the reason I have an ADD website.

I did put up some of the ads on test page just to see what type of ads would come up. I noticed that most of them were for beCALM'd. Google does give to option to have specific sites excluded. I went in and excluded the becalmed sites. I waited a bit then brought up the page again and again. The ads still kept coming up!!!!!

This is the list of sites that I have excluded as of right now:

buybecalmd.com www.add-adhd-kids.com www.adderall-free-kids.com www.adhd-becalmd.com www.adhd-depression-relief.com www.adhdChildren.com www.adhdrelief.com www.be-add-free.com www.beadhdstressfree.com www.becalmd-for-adhd.com www.becalmd.com www.becalmdnow.com www.calmchild.com www.findserenitynow.com www.fmsnutrition.com www.help-for-adhd.com www.iwr.com www.nativeremedies.com www.naturalhelpsite.com www.order-becalmd-here.com www.provenadhdhelp.com

I'm sure there are even more! They are probably adding more sites as I amwriting this.

So, anytime somebody types in any type of AD/HD related search at google these ads come up. I think google is the most popular search engine too.

Sites like http://psychcentral.com also have the google ads.

I just thought that I would bring this to the group's attention.

By the way I 1st posted this a few months ago. I'm sure they have added even more sites since then.

Thanks as well.

Is this some kind of multilevel marketing thing? That could explain why there are so many ads--there's 10,000 distributors all pushing the same stuff.

I'm not quite sure what the structure of the program is.

I thought they are clever how they marketed. I'm going into the marketing area after graduation, I have to remember those techniques. Remember Adderallboy? :D

Hi,

I also post in other forums(:) ) and I've seen those banners ,as well as ads about counseling and it really bothers me. I haven't said anything(amazing huh?) and try and remember Im a guest there.Plus, I think its a waste of time. At some point I may go there but we'll have to see.

You should have seen me on the front row watching John Rosemand say ADHD was fake...lol. That was about 4yrs ago. I was having a stroke..lol. I was professional tho, but when he suddenly had to leave and couldnt stick around for the panel discussion with me and some friends(a pediatrician, a pediatric psychiatrist and an OT..all of whom are waaay nicer than me), I kicked his butt in absentia.:)

Oh well:)

I actually checked out a few of there product listing. And for their price and the nutrients in the 2 i looked over, i didnt see much of a good quality product. Mostly vitamins, and a few aminos. I mean dont get wrong, it may help some people or in addiction to their current treatement.
But I would have to say besides using medications, a mixutre of herbals, botanicals, amino acids , vitamins, and "nootropics" would be superior.
Most "nootropics" have to be ordered. THough i seen a few supplements like source naturals "higher minds" that really looked promising.
And there are many more, if your look, and compare pricing, some of them are as much as perscription medication! Or you can just got say GNC and buy seperate supplements and make your own coctail.

THough Be Calmed seems to have there research in gear.

I hate to admit but I have been accused of spamming. Really didn't realize what I was doing.

Since what I was interesting in learning about relates to supplements, I guess the best thing to do is stay off or else say nothing about them.

When I just wrote about what I was trying I was asked for more information, when I gave more information I got a little compulsive in trying to get some conversation started.

It appears even mentioning a supplement product doesn't work though. All I get is there is no proof for supplements and that there is proof for prescription meds. So spamming on these appears to be OK. All it has done for me is turn me off.

I'll keep reading but I am not likely to do any posting.

A well worded letter of complaint to the food and drug administration about the tactics of the b'calmd sellers might be in order.

Perhaps many letters from irate adders might be a good thing.

I have a real hate for snake oil ads and I resent people profiting from the misery of others.
