I was wondering if anyone here who has been diagnosed by the Maudsley in SE London remembers roughly how long the waiting list is? They sent me a questionnaire to do and sent my mum one to do about me when I was a child, which we did and sent back. They sent me a letter yesterday acknowledging receipt of the questionnaires and advising that I was on their waiting list and would be contacted again when they want to arrange an appoinment. I'm hoping the list isn't that long cos I really want to get this all sorted out but it's the only centre of it's kind in the UK so I may have to wait a while...the psych who referred me said he hoped they'd be able to get my apt in the New Year. Anyone been through this process?

Tried to get an appt at the Maudsley but didn't get past the desk, ditto my GP who was rebuffed as there was no funding available from the Scottish branch of the NHS to the English branch for referrals for Adult ADD.

Went private, got appointment date quickly.
