I take 300mg of Wellbutrinxr and 20 of Adderall is this bad combination? Anyone taking same as me please let me know how that works with you on it. I'm trying to slowly get off of Wellbutrin but do not know what will happen. I only need Adderall for my school that's it.

There is suppose to be a positive benefit expereinced by people with ADD who also take Wellbutrin, with or without stimulents. If I remember correctly, its partially because its a dual acting drug with helps increase norephrenephrene (forgive my spelling). However, one of the risks that is not always mentioned or spoken is how both Wellbutrin and many of the stimulents have in increased risk for seizures. The Wellbutrin more so than most of the stimulents. It's still not too common, otherwise there would be more of a warning. However, there still is a higher risk than is gerenally spoken about. Look up the meds online and then you can and always should talk to your doctors.

ive been taking both wellbutrin xl 300 and adderall xr 20 for about a month. the wellbutrin seems to curb the anxiety that is normally intense with adderall. Sometimes I get a headache but I think thats because I haven't been consistent with the adderall regimen lately. I only take the adderall on days that I think I really need it, which has been about 3x a week. But the wellbutrin, ive been taking it everyday for 2 months. initially, my plan was to discontinue adderall (ive been on adderall since college) and start taking wellbutrin only (wellbutrin alone has been noted to help with ADHD symptoms). However, having experienced the effects of Adderall, its very difficult to know life without that "hyper-focus". So like I said, I'm currently taking both meds. Anybody else taking both WB and Adderall on a consistent basis?

I take 150mg of Wellbutrin XL everyday, and 20mg of Adderall 3-4 times/week. Works well for me! Ive been on the same regimen for about 15 months.
