Yes or no? And do you know is it a sign of danger? Why would only some people get heart arithmias?

If you don't know, an arithmia is when it feels like you have butterflies in your heart. Its a sudden chest fluttering. I have to go to class, see you later.

when it feels like you have butterflies in your heart.
I have felt that way once or twice on stimulant meds, I never really applied much thought to whether or not it was serious and it happened a couple of times in 20 years, so I don't know if that is a good answer but I am not dead.

it's an irregular heartbeat. They are common and typically harmless. Stimulants can bring that on. Maybe too high a dosage?

I've experienced it a time or two, didn't worry too much about it. I did notice it one day when I was on Adderall IR and took the second dose earlier than I had previous days.

If it happens constantly, then yes, worry. At the very least, definitely mention it to your doctor your next visit. Seeing as you were able to post about it and head to class, I think yours was of the "typical" variety.

I'm only going by my Google School of Medicine training and therefore you should keep a close eye on things when you take your meds.

I wasn't on Adderall, but had a bout with palps a couple of years ago. If they are bothersome (often during the day/night), you feel other symptoms such as lightheaded or dizzy etc, or a rund doesn't stop (ER visit), you should call your nurse line or talk with your doctor. MOst palps are benign with no other symptoms, but I'd definitely talk to your doc just to put your mind at rest. Further testing (ekg, Holter monitor, treadmill, tilt tests, etc) can also put the mind at ease, but doc would know best. Other sits can cause pals too, like hormonal changes and dehydration. They are pesky!

I forgot about this thread of mine! I've had a few since starting, and the only way they're bothersome is that I get very anxious about my heart. They only last about 2 seconds, right? That's all for me, just a two-second long flutter in the chest. I would get them years ago when I suffered chronically low blood pressure. I ended up going home early from that class though because I got all scared about my vision problem in one eye and we watched this thing about how a guy got permenant amnesia because a blood vessel burst in his brain and I was thinking, "Oh my God, I'm on adderall and that constricts blood vessels and blood to the brain! That'll be me!" So I freaked out and called my mom to take me right home in the middle.

My BP is still low though thank God. I'm going to the doctor for my eyes though...

But what were you guys's pals like? Just wondering.
