So I have tried Ritalin.. then switched to DEX, then to Adderall XR.

I no longer have any coverage, and, wont be getting Adderall XR again for some time.

I'd like to go back on Ritalin (cheaper) but my pharmacist said I would need to see my psychiatrist in order to get a new prescription.

We are on kinda different shift which makes seeing him rather difficult....do you think that if I went to see my regular doctor about it, that he might be able to write me a prescription since I have been on it before ?

Anyone?

But didn't you not like Ritalin? Is it worth taking at all for you?

Don't see why your regular doctor couldn't write you the same prescription, but I have no idea how things work in Canada. I think any MD can write a prescription, though.

Why would Ritalin be covered and not Adderall? Or are you just saying retail price Ritalin is cheaper than retail price Adderal? Either way, sorry to hear it, the last thing you need to deal with is paying for drugs you need but can't afford.
