I am new (less than a week) to Adderall and need some feedback.
Today my brain is totally in a fog. I am also getting bad, thick-post-nasal drip. I am not sure if this might be because 1. A cold is going around and I am catching it 2. I slept with my cat on my pillow and have slight cat allergies 3. the Adderall is drying out my nasal passages causing post nasal drip 4. Dry air is causing the post nasal drip
So, do any of you get post-nasal drip with Adderall? If so what do you treat it with?
Normal Effects? Also, the first days the Adderall seemed to work well, but I would get facial pressure (like sinus pressure) as the medicine wore off after the first dose. Then the pressure woud diminsh slightly after the second and (when taken) third dose. However, it would still be there slightly. Today, I am getting ZERO effects after the first dose. I am TOTALLY in a fog. I tried a little coffee after 3 hours and it seemed to give me a little energy, but still I am in a fog. Not sure if this is related to the Adderall or the post-nasal drip/sinus issue
Also, by the end of the day as the medicine wears off, I seem to have lots of tension in my shoulders.
Finally, the Ritalin seemed to do less for my motivation and ability to get through tasks. But it did make me "calmer" particularly around people. It did nothing for my motivation and abilty to see what needed to be done and do it. Furthermore, the rebound made me terribly irritable. (The generic was much worse in this regard... it even made me depressed between doses)
Adderall seems to make me more sensitive to noises. For example, it makes me even more nuts when there is another conversation in the room and someone starts talking to me, or when there is music with lyrics when I am trying to listen to someone.
Might these effects go away with time as my body adjusts to it?
Thanks for your input
