I've been on 100mg of Vyvanse for about 3 weeks now - before I was ramping up to it. It's been really good, but the last two days I don't feel anything at all. I feel all of the nervous tension, need to combat, over thinking, fly away mind, lack of impulse control, I do without it. It seems really bizzare. One day it works great one day it doesn't work at all.

I did find out that I have strep throat and so I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

Could be because your sick. I've had the same experiences w/ the 50 and 70mg doses. I think that anxiety, illness and lack of sleep (all various forms of stress on the body) can override your med's effectiveness or make it seem like its quit working.

Well that would describe the last 6 days of my life.

Yea, I lost almost all benefit over a 3 day period when I had a lot of unfortunate events happen to me.

Also, remember, this is used to supply dopamine consistantly. At first your body isnt use to that, it only came in spurts and then left. Once it becomes constant it can become the norm. Your just as capable as you were in your first week, its just not new anymore and its not the surge that will be motivating you now, its your desire to better yourself.

wow. the exact same thing happened to me. i was on the 30 mg.. started around november 1st... i have been on it on and off (i dont take it on the weekends) and like about a week ago it just STOPPED. i still got the side effects but no luck on focusing, etc!! i take a pill and a half now... so about 45 to 50 mg.. its working better but def. not as good as the first few days!!

You took the symptoms right out of my mouth.

I have experienced a cold for the last 5-6 days. I haven't had a cold in a long time. Hmm I wonder if it is related with that.

I called my doctor up and talked to the nurse who is his assistant (he was out). She said that she has seen this type of thing many times before. According to her, these types of symptoms show up if the dosage is either too much or too little. She asked me to bump what I take.

I also explained how I was on vacation and had been doing exercise irregularly. She said that change in metabolism can also affect the effect of the drug.

I'm a bit nervous. I know people here take in the 70+ range but I get pretty wired up at 30mgs. I'm going to try 45 mgs tomorrow and see how I feel.
