I've read somewhere that the SSRI's deplete the body of Calcium, so anyone taking it should take Calcium supplements.

Does anyone know if Adderall does the same thing?
Or if it's known to deplete the body of certain vitamins/minerals etc?
I take a multi a day plus Milk Thirstle, Calcium and Iron (used to be anaemic), but would like to know if I should take anything else.

I have taken adderall for a long time. Although I have had various health problems, none were related to mineral/vitamin deficiency.

I've heard that ampthetamines can cause magnesium depletion (sorry, can't remember where to cite it). I sometimes clench my jaw, which is a symptom of low Mg. I supplement with Mg/Zn/Ca in the AM and it seems to help me. I haven't heard about issues with Ca, but I eat a lot of yogurt anyway, so I don't really worry about that, and the supplement i take has it. Calcium's probably not a bad thing to supplement anyway, esp. if you're a woman, to help ward of osteoperosis
