As we all know, genetic variation and individual ADD symptoms can effect a person's response to a given medication. With that being said, hopefully we can find some studies that:

1) Give insight into different Genetic Variations

2) Studies giving insight into what different types of ADD symptoms there are.
Ex. 1: Dr. Thomas Brown's book giving a simplistic explanation of ADD and breaking it down.
Ex. 2: Dr. Aman's book which utilized EEG readings to cite 6 different types of ADD
Based off of whatever study or example you can provide, try and match up your own personal symptoms according to each ADD test/source that can be written down.

3) Ways to tie the above 2 to different kinds of medications (note this will be purely hyothetical and shouldn't be taken seriously but should give ideas to consider and talk to your doctor about).
I know the so-called "professional" psychiatrist like to babble on about how no "definitive" studies exist. However, there must be some guestimates on the professional/pharmaceutical side or else treatments wouldn't exist. We're unfortunately not given great access to this information since everyone from the drug companies to the psychiatrists are more concerned with being P.C. and within policy to avoid getting into any trouble.

With all that being said, please choose to respond to whatever point I've provided above (1,2, and/or 3). Please respond but also please stick to these points listed above.
Hopefully this discussion will benefit us all and provide helpful information that we can all find something useful from this discussion.
