what are the pros and cons of being on this??

Never taken Adderall..... but I think it gets better feed back from most people than not.

First off, hello and welcome to the forum!

Pros: better concentration
Less figiting
Able to do work when I need to

Cons: Less sleep

Pros:
Better concentration and motivation.
Better organizational skills.
Obsessing less about food or other addictions if one has any.
More goal oriented (more driven).
Looking forward instead of looking back.
Courage to do new things and believing in yourself.
Drive to bettering yourself mind, body and spirit.


Cons:
Problems with insomnia.
Lack of sexual drive.
Anxiety (panic/worry more).
Some depression (if not on anti-depressants).
Ups and downs (less if on anti-depressants)
Crashing.

First of all, it's different for EVERYONE. For instance, my pros and cons do not at all match those listed above. What a person does and does not get out of this drug depends entirely on the individual, and results can differ greatly even among family members. I speak from experience on that last point especially.

That said, my personal experince with Adderall has been:

Pros:
Much more happy overall
No longer easily irritated
Less likely to procrastinate
Mundane tasks seem less boring
Increased sex drive for me!

Cons:
Wears off quickly, even in XR form
Doesn't do much for focus/concentration
Coming off of it causes depression

My doctor thinks he can find a much better drug for me so I'm going on Focalin next week.
