It depends on whether it is XR or IR and how you metabolize the drug.

Mmm. I see. Well its IR and it only lasts a couple hours as far as concentration goes, but my heart goes faster for a long time after the conentration effects wear off.

Well it depends on when you wake up of course squirelly. I wouldn't do 8 PM if I had a normal sleep schedual, but I woke up a little after three and took one then and now its 11:02 and I'm trying to do my essays which involve studying and reading on the side. But instead I'm reading every few minutes and then browsing the net. My heart is like 108 though up from my natural resting heart rate of 80. So... I'm not sure if it would be inadvisable to get stimulant study help at this time. Goy.

I would suggest to you to take your first dose when you get up, whenever that may be, then take your second dose about the middle of your day, again, whenever that may be.

OR approx. half hour before you need to actually USE it, ie. write report, study, etc. Keeping in mind some people experience insomnia while taking Adderall.

Adderall had a useful period for me personally of about 3 to 4 hours. I took it around 9am, then again around 2pm. That worked well for me. I'm now on Dexedrine and follow the same dose schedule, roughly. \
