Went to see my doctor and switched to Adderallxr since I start work at 7:30am it last about 8 hours since I have classes at night and am worn out by then she prescribed me 10 milligrams of Adderall one at night when I have school. I went to fill my adderallxr but not the 10milligram adderall because I do not know if they will fill it since I filled my xr. I do not want to look like an *** since pharmacist over where I live are all dicks. Will they cover the night time dosage ya'll think. I know ya'll arent doctors but ya'll may have been in this situation and I know ya'll might be able to help. Thanks if you can!

I have learned my doctor is completely ignorant in regards to my prescription rules that my insurance imposes.

You could do a couple things to avoid looking derrier like. Call the pharmacy in advance to inquire about filling multiple rx's. It may be as simple as them calling your doctor to verify the rx's. Just be honest and tell them you have two different scripts for the adderall and just wanted to make sure you wouldn't have a problem getting the second one filled. You may even suggest they call your doctor if they seem hesitant.

Or take the second rx to a different pharmacy. You didn't mention about insurance so if you do use insurance for your scripts, they may throw a wrench into the works. One pharmacy won't know what you get filled elsewhere but your insurance will.

Most insurance companies will only give you 30 pills at a time, but since these are two different prescrips you may be okay.

In my experience, if my doc. writes me a prescrip. for 60 pills (2/day) the pharmacy won't fill it, but if he writes me a new scrip. for 30 pills at a higher dose they will fill it, even if it hasn't been a month since I got the last scrip. filled.

I hope that makes sense. These things can be confusing!

Me too. I've asked my doctor to give me a higher dosage on my Zoloft and my headache pills for that reason.

My insurance company *which I currently hate* only lets me have FOUR migraine pills at a time, for FORTY DOLLARS. that's TEN DOLLARS A PILL. that is just insane. So I asked her to up the dose so I could at least get twice the amount.

My zoloft I do manage to get a ninety day fill but they fill it at 100mg and I quarter it and only take 25mg a day. So.. lol.. that one lasts a LONG time.

Insurance is interested really only in the actual number of pills in the bottle. More pills cost more for them.
