Im also a complete wreck when it comes to wrestling meets. i work so hard in practice, stay in peak condition, and it doesnt matter who im wrestling, i get my self so worked up and panicked im exausted before i even step out on the mat! i go out ther and dnt do perform half of what im capable of. its so frustrating to work so hard, wether its studying or cuasing your self physical strain to reach the distance and then u just get shut down, even when you know you could of. Ive tried teh whoel self talk and what not, that just doens twork for me, i dnt stop shakign and i get so scared. someone please help me out, i want to have a good wrestling season this year and i need a good SAT score. maybe a better way to take the medicine or another medicine or some kind of meditation, something, anythign would be appreciated!!!

You may want to teach yourself grounding techniques.

I get loads of panic attacks if I don't take my medications. I use to have 10 to 12 a day. Mom tells me that even if I'm anxious I should work on doing the things that makes me anxious because if I don't try to "conquer" my anxiety it could control me for the rest of my life. I know I don't want that to happen. Even though I'm anxious and panicky about it, I'm still going back to Molloy because I want to see if I can make it.

Firstly I am not so sure if mediaction before a sport would be a good idea. I am not 100% sure (actually Im guessing) but I bet that drugs that would reduce anxiety would also reduce your performance.
I study in a high stress environment where I am often required to give big public presentaions. I also get slight anxiety (but presumably not as bad as you - anymore) so I always keep my mind off what I have to do for about a hour before I do it.

Dont learn up to the last minute, prepare well sothat you dont have to study or think about your techniques before you go in. Instead use the hour before your tests/matches to calm down and relax. Before tests I go find the crowd who I know is rather talking about cars than the test im about to walk in.
Those last minute crammers are always the stress balls.

You should get better over time. Eventually you will probably get more relaxed before tests/matches and consentrate better.

Good luck!
