I apologize if I have offended anybody in this forum. I definitely did not think I would receive the comments I did. As I said, I'm a soon-to-be teacher going to Millersville University and I'm trying to find information for parents. I'm doing a Parent Manual, for parents, and thought it would only be the right thing to do to ask actual parents with children who have disabilities. I apologize for offending anybody, and I feel as though I have been unfairly judged. I am doing this as a future teacher wanting to help children and parents. I want to do what is only best for both children and parents. I have only asked what parents want. I feel that it is very important to include the parents and the students with disabilities in constructing this Parent Manual. If I could get information from parents and children of what they want or need, that would only make my manual a better one. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding, and I apologize for offending anybody.

Sorry,

BRETT ESBENSHADE

I was not offended personally. But, a lot of us in the forum's have been subject to ridicule and misunderstanding. Therefore, making certain word's offensive to us i.e. disease. Please, try the yahoo ADD chat room; but, have specific question's ready and please most of all remember a lot of ADD'ers are treated unfairly or have been so be careful with your words, they cut deep and don't heal. From an ADD'er and a parent with ADD children I am grateful that you are trying to get a better grasp of this disorder and I pray any knowledge you gain you will put to good use. I wish you the best of luck.:D

You haven't been unfairly judged. You didn't bother reading the Forum guidlines before particpating in the forum. Just think of how you you would feel if one of us came into your classroom with out consulting you or trying to find out what is expected of us and we started going around your classroom asking your students questions.

If you think you have been unfairly judged now...Just wait until you actually start working in the public schools.

I think you've missed the point here.

You have not offended anyone.

No one doubts the sincerity of your intentions.

However, that does not mean you can gather information from this forum, in whatever form, and from whatever forum members, and use it in a publication without the express written permission of the ADD Forums management.
