Doc changed me to Vyvance 50 mg this week. On previous visits I had been adiment about not changing from Adderall XR 30 mg, but on this visit I indicated that I needed and increase for various reason. Because I was not able to concentrate long enough, I agreed to the switch. So here is a synopsis of what I have noticed.
Day 1: Extreme headache, but not sure if it was from meds or just being extremely tired. I have got to take a nap to try and get rid of this headache.
Day 2: Wow, I can sit still again. Actually I don't feel like moving at all. I am going to take a nap when I get home.
Day 3: 3:30pm, Gee Wiz I am sooooo tired, I am going to take a nap when I get home.
Day 4: Why are these kids making sooo much noise, I need to water my plants, there is trash in my classroom. Why are soo many teacher's sending students to the resource room (I am a sp. ed. teacher), don't they know there is already 40 students in here (really only 26). Why is everything so loud. The rain drops are annoying me. I am so tired, so I will take a nap at the basketball game (I am also a cheerleading sponsor). The basketball game is louder than usual today.
Day 5: Student chewing gum is driving me crazy. I am so still I feel lethargic. I feel like my brain is spinning in my head, but I really don't care to move. 8 student's in my classroom is exceptionally loud. 3:00, I am crashing, I have got to go home and take a nap.
Conclusion of the week. I don't feel like Vyvance is helping control the external stimuli filter. I feel almost lethargic. I will get up and do things but once I sit down I am as still as a rock, but feel like a tornado is reaking havok with-in my skull. There is a big difference comming off of vyvance, and screech to an ubrupt halt. Also, it does not seem to kick in as soon.
I am going to continue to log experiences so I can go back to the doctor so we can determine if I need a higher dose of Vyvance or to return to Adderall.
