As the updates continue, we have been blessed with an option to add professional graphics to the Forum pages and portal. Over the years there have been some members that have complained about the current ADD Forums logo. Several cases have been presented primarily centered around a desire to maintain privacy and concealing the bold ADD Forums logo.

In this poll we would like to hear from all of you if professional graphics on the Forum pages are actually desired. We look forward to hearing from you.

I don't know if you meant to have a discussion here on it or not...so since I'm always willing to speak up I'll just jump in and you can remove it if you didn't want this...

While I do not mind it personally, and I believe the one we have was designed by a member, so I like it even more...this is medical information. If anyone finds it invades their privacy I would certainly want to respect that.

Personally the current graphics and design work for me - they are NOT distracting or are they intrusive - the colors do not create undue contrast default letter coloring is black so I can read most post without problems , default text is of a size large enough for me to read without having to use reading glasses and a magnifying glass Lastly I have learned that professionally done does not mean older adult friendly. A majority of these WEB designers and graphic artist are youngsters who can see well and are without dyslexic problems . . .

The last forum I belong to changed their page design per professional and it was a negative experience. They made the background black and the default text white with default text sizing too small - the contrast and over all darkness of the page strained my old eyes Copying and pasting entire discussion in word so I can read it without the page moving and letter blurring became a major pain so I hardly even go over there any more - I do not want to have the same experience here.

The present design is not broken so I see no reason personally to fix it.

Will we see these changes in the form of theming, or will the changes become the default theme? I'm not sure as to how hard it is to create vBulletin themes, but I do know that other sites use this feature, and it would allow the choice of a couple of preferences (though one would have to be logged in to see those changes).

Truth be told, this poll was just to determine if members saw the value in keeping a logo at the top of the forums, not about how the forums look as a whole.

There WILL be a new graphical treatment of the forums soon, and it will look more aesthetically pleasing than the default forums skin we have all become accustomed to.

It'd be good to give the option to have it displayed or not in the user's profile. I understand that there is a vBulletin module that allows user selection of skins.
That'd be the ideal solution. Then the user could decide.

From my perspective, I just block it in firefox - just for efficiency's sake.

We'll have at least one skin to choose from soon.

can you pop it on the bottom of the page? I find that if the connection is slow..I can't scroll the page quickly if someone peers over my shoulder, and all that shows is a giant ADD forum sign :)

Trace, if you use firefox you can selectively block images - this is what I have setup at work. I use the imgLikeOpera addon.

I see no reason to change the present Logo. I really like it Seeing it is a reminder of what a fun friendly place this is, Worldwide and I concur whole heartedly with meadd823, Changes are Not always beneficial. I also like mijahe's suggestion of making it optional. :D That way everyone gets what they want. And as an off topic: I wish the memberlist of those online was at the top of the page instead of the bottom. Thank You for this opportunity to cast my vote. :D Another Great thing about this  forum...!!! :D :D

Chances are you will be able to revert / use this stock forum layout if you would like to, though the new design will be default. So, there will be two skins.. You can decide how you view ADDF.

Personally, I don't have an issue with the forum logo, but I don't see why we couldn't have a second more discreet theme for people who don't want to see a big logo at the top. :)

I've no problem with the logo - I like it - but have the same privacy issues as Tracy. Thanks so much for the cool addon mijahe! Problem solved! :):):)

I'm with Nikki & mijahe - I block the image myself but a second version would work as well.

I would be surprised if you can't. Even Apple try to be like firefox.

The AdBlockPlus extension for Firefox is also useful for the purpose of selectively blocking images.

I don't know if this has been brought up, but perhaps there could be an option to display/hide the large logo at the top?

For those that have blocked the logo and want to get back to the front page - use the "Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Forums" link at the bottom of the page - next to "Contact Us".

Another forum I belong to has the option of having their default page show up, or choosing their "at work" version without the header and logo at the top of the page (more discreet). It's not an issue for me as I'm only online when I'm at home, but I can understand that some would rather not spend their time at work explaining.

Two Cents:

1. I'm fine with the current logo.

2. I think, if possible, the "work friendly," logo-free skin would be cool.

3. I use the Opera Browser, which, I presume, is what the "imglikeOpera" add on for Firefox is meant to emulate....I mention it only as another option.
