My psychiatrist asked me to look up AS as a possible diagnosis for me. He said that it's very unlikely I have AS but the fact that I just cannot make eye contact with him was enough for him to be concerned. I was hoping that I can can some links to things to look up to learn more about it. A simple Internet search doesn't really help me because I seem to be finding conflicting or vague information. Maybe some Youtube videos to see what AS "looks like?" Or some reliable articles? I'm hoping that I can get a diagnosed AS patient to help me.

maybe ask him if he recommends anything first.
search engines do produce a multitude of crap, occasionally there is a smidgen of valuable info mixed in.
Try using the search words "researching aspergers"... what you'll find is information done by researchers. Likely a better result than fly by night sites with useless information and negative rantings.

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=81E151FF4CD5C9E0
Go to the youtube web site and search for "aspie" and try another search for "aspergers syndrome" and you will find dozens of videos made by people with AS and about AS.
I'm particularly impressed with the three videos about aspergers made by a lady calling herself "bikiniartist".
You might also try joining the online chat at wrongplanet via IRC and you can chat with people on the autism spectrum.
It is on irc server irc.freenode.net and the room is #wrongplanet
You can also get to the chat via a web browser by going to http://www.wrongplanet.net
You can use google to search the internet for information about autism and aspergers. Also you might want to go to the PubMEd web site to find medical information about aspergers and autism.
Lastly we have a subforum for aspergers and autism here and some information about autism is to be found there.
good luck
Me :D
Not sure if looking at videos will be usefull but here is one.

heres a great movie with people with Asperger's syndrome
http://www.youtube.com/v/ktpNgdU8zpo&rel=1
A dramatic-comedy, inspired by the lives of two people with Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autism, whose emotional dysfunctions threaten to sabotage their budding romance. Donald is a good-natured but hapless taxi driver with a love of birds and a superhuman knack for numbers. Like many people with AS, he likes patterns and routines. But when the beautiful but complicated Isabel joins the autism support group he leads, his life - and his heart - are turned upside down.
