I am back on Ritalin 10 IR.

And everytime I take it and eat, or drink a coffee before taking it... or really quite often... I get this uncomfortable dry lump in my throat.

Doesnt matter how much I drink water.. it never flushes it away.

It doesnt choke me... but... its almost uncomfortably suffocatingly.

Why is this.. and how can I prevent it?

I totally remember that happening to me too! I just sipped on water all day long.

I noticed until it ran out.

Sounds like the throat infection reaction from lower immunity... not a good side effect but not the RITALIN per se, its from bacteria virus etc

could be a bit of anxiety or acid reflux esp. if it's happening w/ food or coffee. Happened to me one day after upping my Vyvanse dose. I know exactly what you're talking about.

yes its anxiety too, after reading this thread the first time I experienced it in two doses, then realised its psychosomatic.

Wow I know this thread is pretty old.. but the lumps in my throat has declined....except for when I drink coffee... then it returns. Now I suffer from a bad cough after I eat. EVERY time. No idea why.
