My 14 year old son has been prescribed both to be taken together.

Vynase 30 mg
Depakote 125 mg

He is having stomach pain and we are told it will pass in two weeks and that he should continue taking it because the stomach pain will pass.

Is this an appropriate combination of meds?

I take Dexedrine and Depakote together and Vyvanse is close to dexedrine and I don't experience those symptoms, everyone is different though.

Yes, the pychiatrist and the pediatrician both say to wait it out. The problem is that he is not going to school and is also refusing to take the medication......I'm afraid where this might land him.
