I have taked A LOT of different Medications for ADHD/ Bipolar and I have noticed with stimulant medication some side effects of the drugs ( although may work the same) are either sever or mild until it works into your systems or for as long as you take it.
On stimulant medication, I have lost sleep, not eaten, had some signs of nervousness, and heart palatations if I go overboard with the drug, BUT My concentration, my motivation, my thinking, my reading and writing improved greatly and I was finally becoming someone who I liked and proud to be, for a person with low self esteem that is a miricale by far. The side effect I had I found were small and tempoary and easier to accept as long as the medicine was working for my brain.
Now, Non stimulant Strattera, on the other hand did not work for me at all and I found no change in my ADHD Behavior. I was sick when I did not eat, my moods would change consistanly. This medicine was clearly not worth, not only the expence, not worth the sickning and annoying side effects
Funny, I am Bipolar, and mood swings are a Bipolar trait, and Wellbutrin and strattera made me more bipolar than the stimulants, which is supposed to be the opposite.
