So, I'm driving my car, talking to my 18-year-old daughter, 10 miles from home and heading home, and it's dark. All of the sudden I come to an intersection about 5 miles from my home that I pass through on a regular basis, and I begin yelling, "Where am I?! Where are we?!"
I had gotten so distracted that I thought I was about 4 miles back and on a perpendicular road, and in the dark didn't recognize the intersection.
Is this a ADD thing or what?

I can't help but smile :) Yes, I have done that and I did it yesterday as a matter of fact. So much going on, keeping track of everything and running on autopilot, I got lost two blocks from my home. When I realized where I was I smiled, even laughed a little and made my way the next two blocks.
Sometimes, how we react is more important than what actually happened.

Good point. I also have an anxiety disorder. Smiling didn't occur to me.
Is this a ADD thing or what?
- yes -

once in a lifetime
Talking Heads
And you may ask yourself-Well...How did I get here?
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.
And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!
And you may ask yourself-Well...How did I get here?

he's completely normal -
- breaking a tradition which we call nonADD
Importantly -
the stupid in 'intelligent design' collapses under the identification of a simple rule which states that our complexity is understandable under 1 rule -
- only one rule from which everything
notional 'virtual' and 'real' is delivered
we are the
'same as it ever was'
'same as it ever was'
'same as it
ever was'
'same as it ever was'

same as it (3d->4d->13d)n ever was.

ok..I DISAGREE..omg..did you hear that :-)
LOL
They are obvious to me immediately..but my meaning can be quite different to others..so..I'm right..as who knows what exactly the writers have in mind???
Lyrics aren't supposed to be fact...they are just a play on words..I think :-)
and this is OFF TOPIC.. :-)
TBC somewhere else :-)
maybe in the lyrics thread..
..so..I'm right..

YES!!!
I can add to this too. Have you ever been driving along and experienced a "loss of time"? For instance, I'll be driving along and at some point will completely space out. I am then horrified when I "come to" and realize that I had been spacing out. Then I freak out even more wondering how long I spaced out for, and how lucky I am that I didn't get into some sort of accident, or run someone over, or drive off a bridge or something.
Does that ever happen to you?

Ohhh, yeahh. It's that moment of disorientation that disturbs me the most - when I don't know where I am, where I'm going, and who was driving.
