(this might be confusing but it is urgent)
i am supposed to take anywhere from 30 to 60 mg...

the capsule comes in 30 or 50, etc...

i have been given the 30 capsule and i usually take that... then i empty some of the powder out of another one.. so that it ends up equaling around 50 mg..

well today, i took my 30 mg at 8:00...then around 1:00, i emptied some of the poder from the 30 and took that equaling around 50... i want to take the rest of the powder so that i will have 60 mg in me total today.. IS THIS BAD? my medicine (vyvanse) is supposed to last a while so is it bad that i am like taking it all throughout the day even though the last pill i took may not have worn off.. i am doing this because even though its supposed to last 8-12 hours.. IT DOES NOT FOR ME.... so i need to take it later. HELP I NEED INFO NOW!!

Not fully sure what your asking. But if your asking is what your doing abuse.
Its not. Vyvanse is design to require a long process to form the active metabolite dexedrine.

It is generally recommended that medications be taken exactly as prescribed. We cannot give medical advice...and none of us ought to be making value judgements. :)

Please ask your doctor about how to achieve your best relief level without messing around with the capsules themselves.

The prescribing info says the capsules can be open and mixed with applesauce.
I guess it boils down to interpretation of 30 to 60 mg as needed. The doctor likely meant/said "30 or 60 as needed". Hmm the link I had was for adderallxr not sure what vyvance says about opening capsules.

It comes in 30 mg, 50mg or 70 mg. So you got 50 mg. The doctor likely said 30 mg or 50 mg could be
prescribed. You got 50 mg. No you cant take 10 mg of your tomorrows dose today. But you can get an appointment with your doctor and tell him your current dose is not working.

The only "bad" thing you may be doing is trying to take your Vyvanse like one would take a short acting drug. Adding "booster" doses of Vyvanse during the day might keep you up later than you want to be.

Many of us who take Vyvanse find that it doesn't last as long as it is intended. Talk to you doctor about how you can work around this. For some, taking a larger initial dose does the trick while others split their doses (like you did earlier in the afternoon). I personally take a short acting Dexedrine booster around 4pm if I need it.
