I wasn't sure where to put this post...so feel free to move it. I was getting confused and frustrated because I don't have a bipolar diagnoses, but I don't see anyone else with ad/hd taking it...so this is where it got stuck...general.

Anyway..on to the question.

Do any of you taking medcation for mood stabilization have a hard time taking it because you feel like you don't need it?

I'm debating on taking the Depakote ER right now, which is my normal time...right after work, because I don't see why I have to take it. I really don't see anything wrong. Overall, I feel fine. Yes, I can look back over posts and logically say "Well, you probably should take it". I'm having a hard time convincing myself to take it when I don't feel like I need something to stabilize my mood.

MANY people have this same issue, Blueyeyore. For some reason we seem to forget that it is the medication that is helping to keep us stable in the first place.

I try to remind myself that this illness can tell me very pretty little lies.
