Can this happen?? I have this surge of hypomanic almost high behavior after taking Focalin (20MG) and Neurontin. The Neurontin doesn't seem to be working but at least I am sleeping better. Six to eight hours versus 1-3 hours while on Prozac & Adderall.

There is a crash but not as bad as after Adderall. I take a few more of the Neurontin tablets to try to help.

Focalin is a stimulant, so it may be from that.

Getting the Neurontin increased may help a lot.

Neurontin isn't a first line mood stabilizer though, the four first line mood stablizers that I am aware of are Lithium, Lamictal, Depakote and Tegretol.

One of the more first line ones may help a little more.

I am doing that, taking extra Neurontin -- 2 capsules every few hours. I have 2 refills.

It isn't as bad as after the Adderall which I have completely stopped.

But what am I going to do about all these bags & bags & bags of clothes I bought and resulting credit card debt??

I wish I had an answer for that Nick, I am in the same boat, personally.

But we have a large number of bipolar individuals on this site and I am sure they have experienced the same thing we are going through now so they may be able to have a better answer. To be honest, I will be checking back periodically just for my personal reference.

I don't know what to say either. I just recently did the same thing in my manic state (over buying).

I got lucky on my last spending spree...I was able to take most of the stuff back, except for video games and electronics. I hadn't had time to wear the clothes before my mom figured out my bills hadn't been paid...so therefore the cards/checkbook/direct deposit was taken away(otherwise I'd have to find a place to live...which obviously wouldn't work too well). She gives me money when I tell her I need gas.

I recently bought software for my site/forum and I went over my credit limit. I know mom will be mad about that. I just have to learn to live with it.
