However, is also galantamine which works as an Acetylcholinesterase Agonist as well an inhibitor. Both these drugs can have a good number of side effects but I was curious if anyone's tried them or know anything about them.

By the way:
There is a non-synthetic supplement of galantamine (unlike Reminyl which is the Acetylcholinesterase you need a prescription for) that seems side-effect free for the most part that you don't need a prescription for as well.

No experience, but fed-up with the stimulate approach.

I've already asked my shrink, but he sissied out on me. I'm waiting to hear back from my neurologist on the same, but since I have MS, I've presented it as an issue for MS related cognitive disfunction, which Aricept and others in the catogory have been used off-label.

There is a clinical trial recruiting for Aricept and MS, but it's too far away.

Would be glad to here anything you find out.

I've heard of Aricept being used for adhd's "memory difficulties" but that doesn't mean every doctor is willing to prescribe it. It probably depeneds on the severity of the memory problems after starting treatment. These are all guesses of mine.

One thing I've noticed is that it can actually cause cognitive problems in terms of remembering and can slow down the frontal cortex. I would not recommend trying this as you'll be suffering for a week before it begins to very slowly taper off.

It's not smart to mess around with acetylcholinesterase at a young age.
