Ever since i can remember myself, i would always have panic attacks if i had to sleep in the dark. Dark and closed places still do that to me. I know its called clastrophobia but this may be related to adhd.
I have sleeping issues in general. I'm paranoid.
Last night i was watching tv at 1am in the living room and i heard the front door make a noise (as if someone was trying to open it) and i could not sleep all night and i actually went to sleep in my parents room eventually (im 17). By the way, I heard doors can make those noises due to cold weather so maybe thats what caused it.
I also remember when i was 8, i stayed up all night once because there was a scrunchy on the floor which i imagined could be a snake and kept an eye on it all night. So i was always paranoid like that.
If i go to sleep early with my door open and nightlight on no problem. But once everyone else has gone to sleep every little noise creeps me out.
By the way, a little theory my aunt has that Adhd people were watchmen/nightgaurds in the past (with evolution) and thats why they focus on 10 things at once.. This theory fits my sleeping issues..
