I've been on Vyvance 70 mg for 5 days. So far my focus is great and I don't mind reading now. Yesterday I started having a severe case of cotton mouth. I am also taking Wellbutrin XL. Has anyone experienced dry mouth and did this side effect subside after a few days?

dry mouth doesn't really go away all together, but it does become easier to deal with after a while. I'd say within a month it was definately better. I still walk around with bottles of water all the time though. Sucking ona piece of hard candy works too.

I totally get cotton mouth. It does get better though... I've been on 30 mg for about a month and a half-

My biggest issue though, is the nausea! Every other day, about 3-4 hrs into my taking the drug I get extremely dizzy and nauseous... What's weird though, is its not every day. I can't really figure out how to avoid it-

Anyone else have this problem? I would love some advice, as I really love the Vyvanse and I don't want to stop taking it.

I am having occasional cotton mouth as more. I thought it was due to my cold, but perhaps is the vyvance.

cotton mouth is the one side effect that hasn't gone away for me. I still drink water constantly and have to have a drink in order to eat anything dry.
It really doesn't bother me that much though, I just carry a water bottle like eyore said. It's actually good too because most people don't drink enough water.

Newtonka, what do you eat when you're taking your meds, and when? Does it change, maybe on the days you experience nausea? Does the time of day you take it change?

I've found that any side effects I felt after the first week or depended on my eating habits. Eating a (relatively) consistent and healthy diet at regular times goes a long way for the side effects you've described.

the only times I have gotten naueous and dizzy are my first day, when i've experimented and taken too much, or I haven't had anything to eat in 1-2 days. This actually happen to me last week. I thought it smart since I was out of my 70mg pills to take 2 50s. I didn't think 30mg more was going to make THAT MUCH of a difference....yeah....I was smart. I spent the whole day nauseous and had this huge like lump in my throat. Oh and don't forget the dry mouth...that came back too

Remember to sleep
Remember to eat
Remember to drink
and Don't play with your medicine without permission

All very important rules...most I learned the hard way cause I've just never been one to "take someone's word for it"
